Author Kim Smith

Have you ever had a serendipitous meeting with someone who has the same interests and tastes? It's a truly magical moment and this is how I felt after meeting author Kim Smith this past summer at her stunning home in Gloucester, Mass. I have previously posted about Kim's book, Oh Garden of Fresh Possibilities. She is now hard at work on her second book about monarchs and I can assure you that based on the illustrations she showed me, the second book will be as breathtaking as the first.

She graciously invited us to her home for tea and as soon as I set foot inside, I was smitten. I met her charming husband who is also a writer. She gave us a tour of her gorgeous Victorian house and the decor had me drooling. And her garden is absolutely to die for, filled with gardenias, daisies and roses. I leave you with some wonderful photos taken by Kim. Enjoy!!!

Barbie collection by Christian Louboutin

According to WWD, the collection consists of three dolls packaged in Louboutin shoe boxes, each come with four pairs of Barbie-size Louboutin heels. The three dolls will be released separately, the first to release in December, is the jewel thief-themed Barbie; in February, a safari-themed Barbie, and for May, Louboutin designed a Barbie that goes to the Cannes Film Festival. The dolls retail for $150 each and will be sold at BarbieCollector.com and at Net-a-porter.com, and in September, both sites also will offer a Christian Louboutin Barbie shoe collection of 12 pairs for $40 a set.

In addition, Christian Louboutin will also star in a photo diary with Barbie, titled ““My Year in Paris With Christian Louboutin” which comes with the jewel thief Barbie and is also sold separately for $40 slated to release in December. He apparently made a comment about her ankles being too big which caused quite a stir but quickly retracted...

Ahhhhhh to be young again........!!

Look to your health...

Look to your health; and if you have it, praise God and value it next to conscience; for health is the second blessing that we mortals are capable of, a blessing money can't buy.
