Sea air + turquoise jewels

How I long for a week by the ocean..dreaming of quiet walks on the beach, sea kayaking and fried clams. In the meantime, I'm quenching my thirst by admiring pictures of Cannes' glamorous attendees and their stunning sea inspired jewelry.

I was particularly smitten with the stunning jewels worn by Italian super model Bianca Balti. They are simply divine.

Have a great day!

A Stunning Editorial

This is one of the most gorgeous editorials I've come across in a while. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. I'm hiding way to write for a few days then off to Ottawa next Monday and Tuesday to sign some books. Wishing you a lovely day!

A Relationship is like a Rose

A relationship is like a rose,
How long it lasts, no one knows;
Love can erase an awful past,
Love can be yours, you'll see at last;
To feel that love, it makes you sigh,
To have it leave, you'd rather die;
You hope you've found that special rose,
Cause you love and care for the one you chose.

Dreaming of Cannes

The Cannes Film festival is well underway and how I wish I was there! A combination of glamour, film and the Mediterranean Sea would be just dreamy, non?

I'm particularly looking forward to viewing Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris which kicked off the festival in style and I Don't Know How She Does It which is being released next September with SJP based on Allison Pearson's fantastic novel. You can read a short review from the Telegraph here.

If you're looking for a touch of Cannes glamour, you can view pictures of Jane Fonda strutting the catwalk along with Naomi in a Fashion for Relief fashion show

Happy Monday!!! + Moishes re-launch

I hope you had a great weekend! I finished watching Season 4 of Mad Men on Sunday, and was thrilled by the reference to Montreal in the last few episodes! I'm definitely looking forward to watching Season 5.

Speaking of Montreal, one of its leading dining establishments, Moishes restaurant, is moving into the future with some exciting new developments: a new decor that includes a series of commissioned photographs, candid black and white photos of their staff as well as graffiti commissioned from a street artist to create a work inspired by The Main. Also, a special late night menu designed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights: entitled three hours to midnight, it will be catering to the night owl crowd serving a lighter fare for a special price. I was lucky enough to enjoy a taste it last week, and I must say that it's simply fabulous!

Have a wonderful week!

Happy (belated) Friday!!!

As you may know, Blogspot was down for the last 20 hours so I wasn't able to post anything!  It's really warm here in Montreal, and it's been gorgeous all week!

I had a lovely week, celebrating my mother's birthday in style, with a great lunch and some shopping. I also stopped in to sign some books in a few bookstores..

I was lucky enough to be invited to the relaunch of Moishes' restaurant, one of the best in the city. I will be posting some pictures and more information soon.

Enjoy!!
