Happy Monday!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you've been braving the cold, it's chilly out there!

I'm posting the Dior image above in honor of the spectacular haute couture show that took place at the Jardins des Tuileries today and this photo of Marion Cotillard in honor of my new shorter haircut! I had mine chopped off late last week and it feels really great, especially when coming out of my hot yoga class! No more sticky and tangled long locks, merci beaucoup.

I hope you have a fantastic week!

Trip to Paris

It's official, I'm heading back to Paris in February to work on an exciting project ( I will reveal the details very soon!)

There will be lots of running around most of the time, including carrying my camera so comfort will be key.  I'm thinking of getting some black sneakers & black jeans for day. This will make things easy on my feet and back.

But of course, there will be a few glamorous moments so here are some looks that will inspire my packing.

People wonder why so many writers come to live in Paris. I’ve been living ten years in Paris and the answer seems simple to me: because it’s the best place to pick ideas. Just like Italy, Spain… or Iran are the best places to pick saffron. If you want to pick poppies you go to Burma or South-East Asia. And if you want to pick novel ideas, you go to Paris.  -Roman Payne

Happy Monday!!

I caught the tail end of the Golden Globes yesterday, just enough  to witness some jaw dropping gowns and couture. Lucy Liu was a knockout in her Carolina Herrera gown and I also loved Kerry Washington's Miu Miu dress. And Marion Cotillard looked lovely ( as usual) in tangerine Dior.  Who was your favorite?

Spectacular: Naomi Watts for Vogue Australia

I just about died when I first saw these photos of Naomi Watts.  A shot of heavenly pastels in the dead of winter is just what I needed, really. Just like a heavy dose of vitamin C.

The green dress with frills is especially ravishing as is the taffeta lilac number. Thank you Vogue for making us dream a little, while our feet remain firmly planted knee deep in Sorel boots and slush for a few more months...!

Happy Monday!!!

You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the
yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars. Enthusiasm is
the sparkle in your eyes
, the swing in your gait, the grip of your
hand, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your
ideas. Enthusiasts are fighters. They have fortitude. They have
staying qualities. Enthusiasm is at the bottom of all progress.
With it, there is accomplishment. Without it, there are only
alibis. - Henry Ford
