The Drake is my all-time favorite hotel in Toronto. I stayed there a few times, including the very memorable week I signed my first publishing contract.

I love the retro vibe of the place and they serve the best coffee + breakfast.

They also have a blog and that's where I found this lovely DIY tip!

Just Like Candy

I'm in a very colorful mood these days... I'm working on a few exciting projects so this has got me bringing out the dazzling pinks, oranges and blues!

I also uncovered a treasure trove of colorful costume jewelry I bought in India several years ago and I'm looking forward to wearing them out to add a little ooomph to my winter wardrobe.

Have you read the fabulous Kate Spade interview in Matchbook Mag? It sounds like she has a new business concept in the works with her hubby! They even have a name registered. Wooohoo!

Stripe Love Affair

If you've been following my blog, you probably have guessed by now that I ADORE anything with stripes!  Shirts, skirts, throw pillows, furniture, you name it, i love it!

I particularly love the striped drawer chest above and the monogrammed pillows. I'm thinking of ordering the blue and white one for my office.  And those cute mittens, aren't they just adorable? Today, I'm wearing a striped blue and white skirt that I picked up at Forever 21 for a song.

Gorgeous summer rooms

Summer is all about bright color, pairing things down and keeping things light. I love these rooms, they conjure lazy summer afternoons of reading, lounging by the pool or simply chilling with a magazine.
