How sweet it is

Hello my dear friends, I hope you had an amazing weekend! Mine was beyond amazing with a whirlwind trip to New York City. I visited Lady Gaga's holiday workshop at Barney's, took in the stunning holiday windows, attended a great concert and saw two exhibits at the MOMA and the Guggenheim Museum. And not to mention all that great food and drink!

I'm definitely in a festive spirit and I hope you are too! Don't forget to participate in the Shopbop givewaway!!

Please drop in again this week for an interview with a lovely author and a glimpse into her dreamy winter wonderland.

Wow Factor

Isn't this editorial for Vogue Germany just dreamy?? The mix of colors and patterns is divine.

I am off to New York City tomorrow for a four day weekend. I'm looking forward to having dinner with old friends, cocktails with a talented designer, lunch with my agent and attending a holiday concert with Wynton Marsalis at the Time Warner building described as
“Uplifting: New Orleans jazz combined with the festive feeling of the season,”

And after working hard these past few months, all I can say is watch out Anthropologie & J. Crew , here I come!

Happy Friday + Scenes from NYC!

Hello! Happy Friday!

I just returned from a short trip to New York! It was a great time and I was lucky to attend a fashion show organized by Juliette Longuet at the stunning Soho Mondrian Hotel and to meet the reputable contemporary artist from Quebec Corno.
(I was beyond thrilled when she told me that she had read and enjoyed my novel, I almost keeled over!)

Juliette's recent collection is classic with a touch of Manhattan glamour, perfect for the New York City working woman.

I attended this event with the lovely Dawn of the Alternative Wife blog. We had a great time lounging in the hotel's gorgeous lobby and chatting up a storm about blogging, shopping and beach houses.

A very special thank you to Sarah Klassen for posting my trailer video on her gorgeous blog and to Chick Lit Central for hosting a giveaway and review.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Happy Monday!!!

Happy Monday!! This is a big week for me as my novel is being released in the United States tomorrow. I am running around trying to pack for a short trip to New York City and am having a hard time figuring out what to wear since the weather totally changed in the last few days.( for the worst!)

I feel like Catherine, the main character of my story, trying to pack for a work conference: there are piles of clothing and shoes everywhere, and although I'll only be there 48 hours, it looks like I'm going away for an entire month!

The highlight of my trip (other than promoting my book) will be attending a fashion show by Juliette Longuet, the fabulous host of the TV show New York, New York.

I will happily report back with pictures.

Have a fantastic week! XO

Today's thoughts are resumed by...

( pure thoughts lacking in any materialistic urges)

Coveting:( Okay, a bit of material yearning has never hurt anyone..)
Isn't this Milly coat sublime?

And desperately needing...(I'm having a busy week, month and year. This would be more than divine)

A special thanks to Samantha for her fantastic review of J'Adore New York on her great blog!

NYC Interlude

I had such a lovely day yesterday; I met lots of fascinating people at the Harper's Bazaar Conference and learned lots of interesting things that will be helpful in my research. Diane Von Furstenberg was in attendance as well as members of the fashion community. (I will share a few pictures tomorrow, as soon as I get home!)

I enjoyed a fabulous fig & ginger martini with Dawn of the Alternative Wife blog and we had a fantastic time at the Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar.

Having a quick lunch with a friend before flying back.

A bientĂ´t!!
