Just be splendid

Slim Aarons

That's it. I'm officially on vacation for two weeks. And not a moment too soon. I recently finished writing and correcting my first novel and I'm exhausted. If anyone wants to try this, please contact me before you start. It is both physically and emotionally draining. But extremely rewarding. Just be prepared to sweat it out. I will tell you how this book came about when I get back. I promise you, it's an entertaining and magical story.

I leave you with this lovely poem. I will post only sporadically in the next few weeks as I'm heading off to the mountains to hike and replenish my energy. Thank you for your all your comments. They mean so much.

There is a language, "little known";

Lovers claim it as their own;

its symbols smile upon the land;

Wrought by nature's wonderous hand;

And in their silent beauty speak;

Of life and joy , to those who seek

For love divine and sunny hours

In the language of the flowers.

Hey there, who wrote the poem? Sounds 19th-century to me...
Enjoy your vacation--you certainly deserve the break. As well as a little literary detour to Eastman for an author festival!!! It will be fun!
