Happy Monday: Just Sparkle!!

Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed a fantastic weekend! Mine was really great despite my swollen foot, and involved family time, spending time with a good friend and attending a wonderful outdoor concert. The theme was Paris, and it concluded with a tune from George Gershwin's An American in Paris entitled Sparkle and Be Gay. It was spectacular rendition of it and the title of this song reminded me of this lovely quote:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Have a fantastic week!!

The denim shirt

I'm obsessing over jean shirts at the moment. I love all the different ways they can be worn, either super casual or dressed up with a chic twist. I'm planning a short trip at the end of the month and I think this will be my staple piece, either with white jeans and sandals or paired with a feminine skirt.  And with a touch of sequins for dinner?

Pourquoi pas?
