Happy Monday + holiday sparkles!!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday! Did you indulge in some great food and a bit of shopping?

I enjoyed a relaxing weekend with long walks in the forest & reading and cooking.

I'm looking forward to enjoying the upcoming holiday season and getting started on some home decor.

I particularly love the silver candle holders available at Indigo.

I've gotten back to some writing and thought I would share this article about finding inspiration.

I'm delighted to share a lovely book review from Teresa's Reading Corner. Thank you Teresa!

Have a wonderful week!

Stephanie's tip: Holiday Centerpieces

I don't blame you for thinking "summer" at the mention of fresh flowers on your table, but let's remember one thing- just like every perfume has it's occasion, the same goes for floral arrangements.  The holidays are a great time to bring that sweet smell back into your home, especially if you're hosting a get together with loved ones.  When making or buying your holiday floral arrangements, think magical!  Baubles, candy canes, acorns, white and red roses; let yourself be inspired by all the glitter and sparkle of this snowy, warm-your-heart time of the year.  If flowers are too traditional for you and you want something a little edgier, you can always grab a few large vases and fill them up with bare branches, holly and a string of lights to add some ambiance.  Just remember to have fun, this is your creation!  PS:  Speaking of holiday plants... May the mistletoe be very good to you this year!

A Lovely Decor Idea

I just had to share this lovely decor idea. Simple but high impact.

I had a bit of a rough morning, I got stuck in a snow bank and had to be rescued by three gentlemen in a pick up truck...It sounds like more fun than it actually was! Ah, the joys of living in a snowy Canadian winter wonderland!

I have more inspiring holiday decor ideas coming up shortly, check back in soon!

Christmas in the Country

Spending time in the country these days, researching, writing, sleeping ( after a crazy three weeks) and now Christmas decorating, my favorite! We even chopped our tree ourselves this year, a first.

I found these great country style ornaments at Canadian Tire (a Canadian hardware store chain)for $0.99 and $9.99 for a box of four  yesterday and hung them in every window, they look really fantastic!

Hope that you all have a fantastic weekend!

Don't forget to participate in the holiday accessories giveaway!
