Details

After moving last week, I'm still unpacking and now working on getting the details right.  To me, the small accessories and personal touches are what truly make a home.

I came across by Kyle de Woody's lovely apartment in New York. I love how she's incorporated a touch of playfulness to her space, a bit of retro vibe and a fun mix of art.

I ♥ Color

I've just discovered the art of San Francisco native, Lisa Congdon. I really like the color palette she uses and her whimsical illustrations. She apparently works with numerous publishers, including mine: Harper Collins Publishers.

Her book , A Collection A day, will be available in March 2011.

A talented artist from Paris, Sophie Le Guillou, creates gorgeous affiches. You can pick one that will be numbered and signed on her new blog.  I could totally picture the first one in my future (dream) beach house....Le sigh...

Her B.C. home was featured in Canadian House and Home's May issue. It is absolutely stunning. And I'm a big fan of her art.

I am totally smitten with this artist's work which I discovered in a gallery in Key West. His work is fresh and colorful and often reflects fashion scenes since apparently both his mother and grandmother were fashion designers. His work is also available in New Orleans.
