Happy Friday + Fall Campaign by Le Chateau!

Happy Friday!! How gorgeous is this fall campaign by Canadian retailer Le Chateau? The pictures were taken in old Montreal ( I recognize a few landmarks) and is making me very proud. I particularly love the rich hues, the accessories and the styling.

I'm very excited about my upcoming trip to New York, which includes attending a fabulous fashion show and some important meetings. I promise to share pictures of this glamorous event.

Next Tuesday is an exciting day as J'Adore New York is being officially released in the U.S.! Thank you to all who have been providing encouragement and support.

P.S. A very special thank you to this lovely blog for a fantastic review !!    ( yes, a sequel is coming!)

Psssst, curious about all the Dior designer rumors??, here's a bit of news...

Have a great weekend!

Today's thoughts are resumed by...

( pure thoughts lacking in any materialistic urges)

Last Chance: Jean Paul Gaultier in Montreal

This is your last chance to view Jean-Paul Gaultier's exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as the exhibit ends this Sunday.

I went back yesterday for a second visit as the place was an absolute madhouse at the opening. And I'm really happy I did.

If you're interested in fashion and are looking for an excuse to come to Montreal this weekend, this exhibit is not to be missed.

There are several rooms organized by themes: nautical, punk, boudoir, ethnic mix, etc. and the number of collection pieces on display is quite impressive. Also entertaining is the use of  technology to make the mannequins come to life; they are both comical and fascinating.

There are numerous pieces worn by Madonna on her various concert tours, dresses worn by famous actresses in well known films and some renowned fashion photography.

Run if you can before it's too late!

Book Inspired Runway: Gatsby at Ralph Lauren

Back in 1974, Ralph Lauren was the set costume designer for the iconic movie The Great Gatsby starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow. Fast forward to 2011-2012, the remake is currently being filmed in Australia.

It will be directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby and Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan, as well as Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway.

It also happens to be my all time favorite novel. Needless to say, I am smitten with this gorgeous, timeless and classic collection: the cloche hats, the long string of pearls and the tailored suits presented last week in New York are simply stunning.

I'm already looking forward to next spring. How about you?

Tuesday Inspiration

I've been playing around with collages lately, trying to upgrade my blogging techniques and I must say that I'm loving it! Next up for me is a Photoshop tutorial, where I'm sure to go crazy.

As bloggers, it's important to keep up with new tools but finding the time to do so can be challenging.

I leave you today with this inspirational quote about the importance of continuously learning and perfecting new skills:

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence. -Abigail Adams

Another quote that merits sharing: I am learning all the time. The tombstone will be my diploma. Eartha Kitt

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Monday!!!

Happy Monday my dear friends! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I went for a long walk in the mountains, the rich fall colors are at their peak right now and spending time in nature was quite inspirational after a busy week. I also attended an eco-friendly expo and spent time with family.

I am delighted to share a wonderful article ( in French ) which appeared in today's Journal De Montréal about my novel thanks to the lovely Marie-Joelle Parent, a New York based journalist.

I also have some big plans for a blog ( a big change!) and some more exciting news, so please check in again soon!

Have a fantastic week!

Happy Friday + Autumn!!

Happy Friday! I hope you had a fantastic week! I celebrated a friend's birthday, spent time with my Parisian mother in law and took care of some unfinished business.

I am delighted to report that Laura's Trevey's J'adore NY book giveaway has been extended until September 26th.

I have a phone interview this morning concerning my book's release into the United States so I leave you with this lovely thought:

Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower.

~Albert Camus

Psssst!  Check out the Friday blog hop here.
