My weekend on Cape Ann
I visited the studio of artist Yuko Adachi. She is so sweet and also designs great t-shirts!
The weather was fantastic so I wore pretty summer dresses.
I visited the Karen Tusinski gallery. She apparently sold two of her paintings to Sandra Bullock while filming the Proposal on Cape Ann
A wonderful dinner at My Place by the Sea in Rockport
And had the most amazing lunch in Kim Smith's lovely garden!

I am in awe of all the young women who have fantastic fashion blogs and parade in front of the camera in fabulous outfits. There are more out there than I realized. I just discovered Le blog de la mechante from France and I find Eleonore Bridge just lovely and hope that you do too...Her vintage finds are wonderful.

Back from a fantastic four day weekend by the ocean! It was simply amazing. The weather was gorgeous, the sea food delicious, and I feel totally reenergized! The winner of the book giveway will be announced tomorrow..

When did you start your work as a writer?
I started writing after leaving New York City in 2003. I signed up for some creative writing classes at a local university and received some positive feedback from my classmates which gave me the courage and confidence to write the first draft of J'adore New York. I must also confess to having a life altering encounter with a psychic on the streets of Manhattan who told me that I was missing my calling as writer. It took me some time to take this advice seriously, but now that J'adore New York is being published in several countries, I realize this was absolutely true and I haven't looked back since.

Gigi Mortimer for Tory Burch
I was inspired by these summer selections on Tory's blog. I love the beach poncho and blue and white bedroom. Also, I noticed that Tory has a new CD out to benefit her Foundation. I loved the first one so much that I played it over and over again in my car! I will be picking up the second one, it has tunes from from the Smiths and Wyclef Jean that are sure to add some pizzazz to summer cocktail hour...!!
