Happy Monday!!!

Happy Monday! Did you enjoy the weekend? Mine was lovely and included spending time with a close friend ( a Hollywood actor, nothing less), doing a bit of digging at a local flea market and reading. It's been quite refreshing to be reading novels other than my own...

Today was a big day on the fashion scene, with Raf Simons presenting his first haute couture collection, which was a triumph according to Cathy Horyn of the New York Times.

You can view the runway show on video via Elle France.

Have a fantastic week!

Christian Dior Haute Couture

This was the first haute couture collection sans Galliano. Although there appears to be many elements borrowed from past collections and this type of make-up has been used by Dior in the very recent past, I must admit that I do like the candy colored frocks, the seventies style striped caftans and large chunky jewelry. A lot of the styles and skirts remind me of cotton candy at the local fair.

What do you think?

You can view the show on Dior's website.

Ooh la la at Dior Haute Couture

Never one to disappoint, John Galliano delivers a fantastic couture show. Magnifique! While we are on the topic, stay tuned for some news about my upcoming book, J'Adore Dior.
