Happy (black) Friday!!

Happy Friday mes amies! I hope you had a fantastic week! 

Mine was great and a bit more relaxing. I caught up on administrative matters and even managed to do a bit of shopping. My Black Friday Week finds include a cozy pair of faux fur mittens with adorable pom poms at H&M and this enchanting book by Camilla Morton about the life of Manolo Blahnik!

After years of writing countless show reviews, this fashion journalist is now penning fairy tales. “I am enchanted by how clothes make you feel, and the people behind it,” Morton said. “Because sometimes the magic and the art of creation gets forgotten in the rush to find the next big thing.” 

So Morton set about crafting fashion fairy tales, blending the lives of fashion icons with classic fairy tales. The icons supply the illustrations, of course (see illustrations by Manolo Blahnik, below.)It's lovely and would make a wonderful gift.You can read an interview with the author here.

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I finished another round of revisions to my manuscript and spent time relaxing  by the pool. It feels great to see things progress rapidly.
